What do christians think of this band?

That particular song is a bit strange.

It's focusing on other religions and saying why they're wrong... which is a bit random and although in the christian context it is correct, I don't think Jesus would have gone round saying stuff like that.

Most Christian bands sing worship and praise to God, which is what they should be doing in my opinion. Or at least sing about God and Jesus.

Real Christians lead by example, don't denounce others but rather show them what they believe and why, how they live their lives as an offering to God and then let others make their own minds up.

I'm not doubting this band's theological grounding, just I think if you're trying to reach out with your music to promote the gospel, rather than doing it on a "method of elimination" approach and basically saying "everything else is wrong because this, therefore my way must be correct", you should be advertising what the Gospel actually is, and promoting it by living and sharing it rather than digging out the "opposition" as it were.

It's like building sandcastles. If you want to show people yours is the tallest, you might stomp other people's sandcastles down, or dig moats and ditches around yours to make it look taller; but in the long run what will really make it stand out as the tallest is if it ACTUALLY IS the tallest and you spend your time legitimately on your sandcastle rather than sabotaging others.

Rant over, haha.

As of the music, I've never really liked heavy metal, though Skillet is quite a good rock/metal band which is also christian. I just have a different taste in music.
