Wrapping a heated food item in Aluminum Foil?

If I were to heat an bagel up, wrap it in tin foil, and put it outside for 5 minutes, would the food still be virtually as warm as it was to start with? An explanation would be appreciated if you do know why either outcome would occur.

No, because it is only 5 f here and it would freeze very fast.'

No. Food, even wrapped in foil, lose heat quickly. The most common exception is larger roasts that have density ... they actually might continue to cook. Breads and other food with near zero density will lose temp rather fast.

A toasted bagel, maybe 200 degrees will be possibly 150 after 5 minutes in aluminum foil; 125 after 10 minutes, 100 after minutes.

It depends on the outdoor temperature. If it's around 80, yeah, it'll keep pretty warm. But do that right here right this minute, when it's 3 degrees out, and yer bagel will be an ice cube in five minutes! The tinfoil won't do a thing to retain heat - it's metal, and metal transmits head so rapidly that you might's well not wrap the bagel in anything.
