Hmmm. The best bet would be to try Mixcraft 5.It's a cheap program, but it should be enough to tell you whether you are up to being a producer or not.I really don't recommend dropping yourself into a large investment like that. It's best to try something basic.

Good luck bro you this is electronic music production granted when I was in 5th grade back in 98' a Hardware Synth was near $3000, my parents said hell no. You need a good laptop, a DAW which are on average $500, Soft Synths range from $100 at cheapest to $500 on average, Plugins start at seen lowest $35 to Thousands, sample packs around $70 (if needed). You want to have a proper studio you'll need good monitors and an audio interface could be another $2 grand.
You can buy a soft synth like the Korg Legacy Set for like $200 but you need a DAW to run it.
Music production is very expensive that's why you don't see too many kid producers out there.

I use FL Studio Producer Edition. It's not too hard to learn but has advanced features. You can use VST plugins and samples (many quality free ones are available online) to get any sound you want, it's great for electronic music like progressive house. You can try the free demo at flstudio.com or buy it with 10% discount with the promo link for new users https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offe...
The Signature Bundle includes Sytrus which is also a great synthesizer for trance/house type sounds.
With the rest of the cash I would invest in a good audio interface (with ASIO support) and/or a MIDI keyboard controller, maybe headphones or monitor speakers.
Good luck and have fun!
