How do I get rid of this stupid PCH.com ad that pops out from the side of my screen?
I keep hitting "Hide Ad," but it won't go away completely. It's making Answers very unpleasant and it's making me hate PCH.com to the point that I would never use their service.

Do yourself a big favour and install an ad blocker. The one I use is Adblock Plus here http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=ad%20bloc...
^^^ is the one I use on Firefox and it also has versions for Chrome & Android & Opera, but there are also other programs for other browsers such as IE
Once you do this then all adverts are hidden including the pop up ones I see mentioned here as being a pain (but never see them myself)

I too would go with AdBlock. I use it with firefox, have since I got tired of those high-compression
AT&T ads on the right side of both hotmail and facebook. Installed Ad-block plus, got the recommended "easylist" and something called "fanboy's list" which is a user-created list with more blocked content, and haven't had a problem since. It's been a couple of years now, and I can't complain about it at all.
