Meal for 70th birthday in Chelmsford, Essex?
My Nans 70th birthday is coming up in April, and we have decided as a family to all get together for a meal to celebrate, as its not often we are al together due to living over different parts of England.
Weve all decided it is best that we all meet in the Essex area, preferably Chelmsford way or around that area, and are looking for a nice restaurant or diner dance evening to celebrate.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where would be a nice venue for a meal? Needs to accommodate a table booking of 14 people if possible, any suggestions or ideas would be great.

There is a lovely palce near Chelmsford called 'Smiths' brasserie which is in ongar, i have been there a few times and the food is wonderful, you can even see a few celebrities there as its a favourite of Alan Sugar.
They specialise in fish but there are lots of other meat things on the menu aswell
