Can I buy a firearm after my marijuana percription expires?

So I have a medical marijuana certificate (NOT A CARD) it give me exception from persecution of the state to use cannabis for medical issue which I use responsibly. I heard the ATF has stripped medical marijuana patients of their 2nd amendment right. I want to know if after my certificate expires will I be able to purchase a rifle. I live in California 19 never been arrested or anything like that. BTW the gun I want to buy is a marlin model 795.

The second amendment allows for gun ownership within the context of a "well regulated militia". That means the owner is a member in good standing of a military force legally raised by the State (in your case, of California) in accordance with the Articles of War, under the command of officer commissioned by the state to run said militia, and is thus liable to muster and inspection, drill and duties in accordance with the Articles of War. Violations are thus punishable in accordance with the Articles of War.

In fact, to own a weapon outside of this purpose could constitute a piracy, brigadine or mercenary force.

The Second Amendment very explicitly excludes unaccountable and unregulated gun ownership. "Well regulated militia" not "anarchic, chaotic mob".
