These people make decisions that affect my life, I need them to have a basic understanding not only of what reality is, but how to distinguish if things are real or not. You should not have a say in foreign affairs if you believe things like this.

Shoot, never mind guys. This rumor started when Glenn Beck "reported" it on his show, and it has been debunked by... well, everyone. Sorry for wasting your time. Good game, everyone.
To clarify, Rand Paul did say this, but it was not true.

Apparently you are unaware of the amazing track record for accuracy that Beck has had over the years. Dismiss his "rumors" at your peril.

Rand Paul is a dangerous person to have in charge of anything. I hope the American people will see through him. They did in November and I hope they keep it up.
