  • What did Paula Deen say and when did she say it?

All this hoopla about something she said, and I am still trying to figure out what it was and when she said it and who is the person filing the claim?

  • No Children in restaurants?

Just read the article about the sushi restaurant not allowing children under the age of 18 and I think it is awesome, I hope more restaurants will catch on and do the same thing. I am not against children in restaurants, but parents obviously do not know how to control their children. I have actually left a restaurant because of the behavior of children and parents either do not care or are just unwilling to do something about the behavior. Cudos I love it!!

  • I am confused about voting rights?

So according to latest numbers and articles I have read, there are 11 million illegal hispanic immigrants in this country, probably more. Well 12.2 million voted in the recent presidential election. The US Constitution states you must be a US Citizen, either born or naturalized, to vote in a federal election and citizenship is not something that you can get in 10-15 years, takes a long time. Am I missing something here? Why is this not an issue? If you are gonna let non US citizens vote, then why can't people who are in prison vote? Now that ILL has passed the law giving hispanics a driver's license, what else are our great politicians gonna do for them just to garner votes? Really, really sad. Truly is.

If she is she better step it up. Just listened to her sing at the the inauguration and man oh man I wish people would quit trying to bring it on like Whitney did, Nobody and I mean nobody can match or even come close to that day. I still say they should play her version at every game!!!!

  • What do you think was the issue of Michelle Obama's eye rolling episode?

I don't know or care what was said that prompted the eye rolling. What I noticed right off was the food chomping and her left forearm and elbow on the table several times. Wow not a good picture for proper table manners, esp. from the first lady.

  • What do you think of Michelle Obama's "style"?

I keep hearing about her great style for fashion. I haven't seen her in anything that I would run out today and buy.

  • WOW ok all you Black Friday shoppers was it worth it?

Well now that the horror of Black Friday is over, are all of you happy and content with your purchases? Just read another story about a man getting killed at, you guessed it, WalMart. I just watched the documentary on WalMart and although I would occasionally go into a walmart for something small, I will now never shop there again. What a disgusting business and the lies and coverups are horrible. So America continue to put your hard earned money into the pockets of the WalMart family, I will take mine somewhere else. They can keep their cheap products. I will pay more for quality any day.

  • Will you be out shopping on Thanksgiving Day?

I found out the other day that more stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day and will be open as early as 8am. I find it disgusting, shameful, disheartening that people would rather be out shopping instead of spending time with their families. I love being at home and enjoying the special time that I can share with my family. I have never gone shopping on black Friday and don't intend to get out in the disgusting atmosphere. There is nothing I want or need that can't wait a couple days and there is nothing out there that I can't buy at the same price or cheaper in the weeks to come before Christmas. Stores make you think you are getting a bargain when all they do is raise the price and then lower it.

  • Why are so many Hispanics allowed to vote in the presidential election?

I find it very hard to believe all the Hispanics who voted are actually American Citizens, a requirement to vote in the election. It takes a long time to obtain American citizenship and it just does not make a lot of sense to me that for 2 voting sessions Obama has carried that ethnic group. Any ideas, suggestions, comments.

  • Really, a family affair?

I just read an article on Michelle Obama's trip to Africa and she has with her, besides her 2 children, her mother and a niece and nephew. It seems she has spent quite a bit of time travelling around the world with her family and husband. I hope that the American people are not forking over the money for this extravagance and paying for not only her indulgence to travel but to also take along family members at our expense. I wonder if she is just using her role to take this opportunity to travel, one that she might not have done has her husband not been elected president. I also read where she demanded she stay in expensive places.

  • Does anyone else think this was the worst display of figure skating ever in the Olympics?

What a joke. If this is the best the world has in figure skating, we are in big trouble. I have never seen such a poor display of figure skating. If it wasn't the women falling, it was the guy. No thrills, the music was horrible, and the scoring was terrible. How they figure that is beyond me.

  • What happened to airport security?

I thought after 9/11 airport security was supposed to be tight, obviously we as Americans do not take this to heart. Do we have to suffer thru another 9/11 or do we just continue to blow off these incidences?

  • Does anyone else think MTV's special on Michael Jackson is bad?

I watched MTV for seveal hours today, and they continued to play the same videos of MJ over and over again. They were supposed to being to be showing his life in music. I would have loved to see the earlier moments when he was still part of the Jackson 5 as this is a lot of what made him who he was. I think MTV has done a terrible job of reliving his life as an entertainer.

  • What do you think of Obama's stimulus package?

Personally I thing it stinks. The money is going back to the poor and to the rich and of course the government in some way or another. The middle class who put more money into the system and get screwed the worst on taxes are again getting left out.

  • Would we Americans benefit?

Would Americans be better off to share in the 700 billion dollar package to stimulate the economy. Why give the money back to the greedy people who helped create this economic problem? I read an article about a lady from Boston who lost her home. The story goes that she was single, black and had 3 children. She bought her "dream home" by borrowing the down payment and borrowing to buy the house. Her combined mortgages were, I believe, $4,000. She, unfortunatley lost her job, and had to forclose on her home. If people were not in a secure job, why did they do this? To me that is a high 6 figure income yearly to support that kind of payment with all the other expenses. If the people who borrowed money from these banks and lending companies did not foresee any change in their income, why would they be so gullible to fall for such a scam? I understand the concept to have the "American Dream", but to not be in a position that you know is not going to change, why do it? I just don't understand the way people think sometimes.

  • Why call Obama, now, the "first African American" president?

Obama is of mixed blood, black/white. He was raised by his white grandmother and according to articles written he really has no roots or ties to his black heritage. So why all the hoopla?

  • Do you agree with the recent lawsuit by Kentucky to sue the makers of Oxycontin?

Company officials should not have made the comment that it was not addictive, however, it was not the company that wrote the prescriptions. It was physicians and they should have seen the addiction problem when people came coming back and how many of these patients had true chronic or acute problems that they needed this medicine to the point of becoming addicted.
