I'm a lot into the music of Klaus Nomi lately - I assume, my neighbours already hate me for it. ;)
Do you know who he was? What do you think of his rather unusual mix of classic and pop? Genius or Weirdo? Would you say, his songs were defining for styles like wave or goth?

Yes. He did that "Lightning Strikes" tune.
Interesting fella.
He was closely associated with David Bowie. They performed together on SNL in 1979.
I remember Rush Limbaugh used to play Nomi's cover of Leslie Gore's "You Don't Own Me" when commenting about LGBT issues. Dunno if he still does.
He died in 1983 of AIDS around the same time of Jobriath's death.
