INDIANS : Do you remember this rustic Indian song?

The original (in the movie) was sung by Preeti Sagar & it is one of her Best & iconic songs.

I prefer this original because Preeti's voice had a sort of Creaminess, milkiness to it - it flowed smoothly from start to stop; yet had that rustic lilt & touch. And this does absolute justice to the content of the song, as well as the ad/product.

Sunidhi has done a fair enough job. But even without the original to compare it with, I found Sunidhi's rendition a bit stilted - there is too much stress on each syllable/word - the words are Distinct, rather than flowing smoothly. Her voice is too strong for the model/actress too. It just doesn't seem natural - I can't believe the model/singer on screen has such a strong, deep voice. They should've had someone else embodying it on screen. I think Sunidhi is trying a bit too hard to break Preeti's mold & who can blame her for it ?!
