When are Vegas hotels most full?

Over the course of a year, when are Las Vegas hotels most full? Has there ever been a night or a weekend when every single hotel room in the metro area was full?

New Year's Eve is the busiest hotel night. $100 rooms get jacked up to $700.

The Consumer Electronics Show is the largest convention of each year in early January.

Check the Las Vegas convention calendar http://www.vegasmeansbusiness.com/planning-tools/c... which has a searchable list of all future conventions including the expected number of attendees.

If there's a convention with over 1,000 attendees taking place at a certain hotel, you can expect that hotel to be charging higher rates during that convention. A convention of over 50,000 attendees means all the hotels on the strip will be busier on those dates.

Fridays, Saturdays and holidays are always more crowded than Sunday thru Thursday.

NYE, Super Bowl, first weekend of March Madness, and during the really large conferences like CES and Magic are when Vegas is the most full.

    - has there ever been a time when Vegas was completely sold out... doubtful since some people would have had reservations and not ended up going.
