Is it worth getting xbox live?
I was thinking about buying my way into xbox live finally, the only issue concerning it is that I will have to purchase a wireless adapter ($70 - 90) and than adding to that, another $40 for 3 month gold membership. In addition, a good multi-player game to play with my friends (Halo 4 / COD) . But is it really worth spending $200 +? My friends tell me I’m missing out on the other half of what these games has to offer. I’m heading over to EB games this afternoon to trade in my Kinect (Biggest mistake of my life to purchase that sh**) and a few other games (Far Cry 3, Hitman, Tropico 4). So anyway, what are your opinions?

If you already like play games then your gonna love playing online.
You say you have the Kinect so I assume you have the Xbox 360 Slim(Black Xbox). It has a built in adapter so you don't need to buy one.
Xbox live has two types of memberships.
Silver members Gets free Videos & Demos & Some Add-Ons which are bonus levels and characters.
Gold members 3 months($40) and Year($60). Get to Play/Talk with Gamers around the world and all the Silver stuff).
Every now and then Xbox Live does give the Silver gamer free Gold membership due to promos or holidays. Also some games come with free Gold memberships.
I got 3 Free months Gold in GTA and 48Hours in RE5
I never played/heard of those games. I play RE4, 5, 6 WWE 12, 13, & UMvC3

Yeah, so here's the thing. You know the next gen systems are coming out. Why would you spend $200+ on a system that's on its last legs, when you could put that $200 towards the next gen systems? They're going to be at least 400 so you better start saving now. There'll be plenty of multiplayer in the future. Don't worry.

Definitely, but instead of $40 for 3 months. Spend $50 and get a year. The multiplayer option makes for hundreds of extra playtime out of a game. Plus all the DLC always coming out. Totally worth it.

I would say no. I got tired of paying $60 a year for online. I have a PS3 also and I honestly enjoy way more, and the internet is free for it.

Only if you're planning to play multiplayer games a lot, otherwise it's not really worth spending that much money on it. :)
