What's the new Caesars Palace buffet like (called Bacchanal)?
Has anybody eaten at the new Caesars Palace buffet in Vegas, called Bacchanal? Any good? Is it a large buffet or is it small, as it was before? Is it worth the price? Thanks in advance!

I wasn't particularly impressed, compared to my trips to Bellagio's and Wynn's gourmet buffet nights or Wicked Spoon (Cosmo) or even Studio B (M) and The Buffet (Aria). We had to wait over an hour to be seated for dinner and it was quite pricey, compared to the overall quality and atmosphere of the others listed. The layout is kind of confusing and mazelike - you keep wandering around and finding new areas with different types of food. The seafood area right up front was constantly packed - there was a line at least 50' long for people waiting for freshly cooked crab legs. Most of the food was ok to decent, but I think that I had the best sweet potato tater tots I have ever tried - those were the best.
If you go and the line isn't too long, then I might give it a try. Otherwise I would recommend trying either the Bellagio on Friday/Saturday nights or the Wynn on a Sunday for a really nice, gourmet style buffet. Wicked Spoon in Cosmo would be a back up recommendation - most of their food is served tapas style (already plated up) and they seem to have a lot of different options than is available at other locations. Studio B at the M offers wine and beer with their buffet, which most other places don't, but it is a little out of the way and can be crowded at times. The Buffet at the Aria was also nice - i particularly remember their house-made naan to be especially delicious and they serve lobster, as well.

Gets good reviews on Yelp. Roughly 25,000 sq. ft. 500 items severed throughout the day. Figure on $40 for brunch.

"They" say, it's just mediocre, not worth the price.
