  • Scident: Affordable Dental Clinic in North Vancouver?

I need a root canal done (last-minute surprise) but I refuse to pay the atrocious prices most dentists have quoted me here in the Greater Vancouver area. I am considering getting on a plane and seeing my regular dentist in Budapest (state of the art equipment, microsurgery, a fantastic service and a fantastic, ultra modern place - and one tenth of the dental work prices here); however, I am assigned here for the next 5 months and of course flying to Europe is not ideal within my work schedule. I found Scident Dental Clinic in North Vancouver but, even before setting foot in it I wondered if anybody had work done there and if they are recommended. This because their prices seem much more reasonable than anybody else but, of course, that makes me wonder. Anybody heard of them? Thank you very much in advance. PS: I am not Hungarian, but I dislike getting ripped off anywhere so I fly to wherever I get the best service for the best price. I am lucky that I can do that, I know.

PS the last minute root canal surprise is due to trauma, not to bad regular check ups :)

PPS Also, please tell me WHAT you heard about it, if it's good or not... thanks :)

  • What's the new Caesars Palace buffet like (called Bacchanal)?

Has anybody eaten at the new Caesars Palace buffet in Vegas, called Bacchanal? Any good? Is it a large buffet or is it small, as it was before? Is it worth the price? Thanks in advance!

  • Can we Help the Trapped Orcas Today?

Can we do our bit and save this family of 11 orcas? I think we can! Please spread the word to help save (= force the Ministry of Fisheries to stop stalling and do what's necessary) the 11 trapped whales in Hudson Bay, you can view the heart-breaking videos and read about it on ihttp://www.globalnews.ca/icebreaker+needed+to+save... with videos and all the details, including the desperate plea of the local mayor). Locals are urging people to contact the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and ask Ottawa to stop stalling and send an ice-breaker and help with the necessary tools asap; quoting verbatim globalnew.ca, the DFO can be reached at (877)-722-5346 or via email to info@dfo-mpo.gc.ca. I apologize to the community but I feel it's necessary to spread the word and do our bit, even if it's just to make a phone call and send an email.

  • Hair Loss: Do we have to use Propecia or can we find a milder alternative?

Hair loss is a huge issue for many guys (and some women I hear). My question is, are we stuck with Propecia or are there effective ways to stop hair loss without breaking our bank account or damaging our body? Anything that can be applied directly to the scalp that is NOT Minoxidil or Rogaine? I don't like Minoxidil-derived products, I have an adverse reaction and they don't work well for me anyway. Thanks for answering to this ever-lasting problem!
