What are these invisible files?
My hard drive is kind of full, so I analyzed it with TreeSize Free (a little program that shows what occupies what space in a graphical format), and it tells me that on disk C (not in any of its folders) there are almost 6 GB worth of files. However, when I open C drive on windows explorer, I don't see these files. I DO have view hidden files and folders on, so that shouldn't be the issue. Does anyone know what these files are?
Also, is there a way to copy a whole bunch of stuff to another drive (including programs), and have everything still work?
I tried disabling the "Hide protected operating system files (recomended)", and I still can't see the files.
I downloaded SpaceSniffer (Nice little program, btw!), and it shows two files: pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys.
I looked them up, and apparently they have something to do with putting the computer on hibernate.
By the way, is there a way for me to see these files, other than with Space Sniffer? What if I wanted to delete them? It seems weird that I can't see them...
Anyway, thank you very much for the help.
Oh, and I am the administrator, so that shouldn't be the issue either.

A couple of things you could try:
SpaceSniffer is another program that shows your files that I like a little better than treesize. If you right-click it and run it as Administrator it should show even the most hidden files.
The other thing is that there are two types of hidden files. When you go to Control Panel>Folder Options and then the View tab. Make sure you tick the circle for Show Hidden Files. But also go down two more lines and untick the box for "Hide Operating System Files (recommended)". Then check C: and see if more files show.

There are hidden files which normally cannot be seen or accessed by anyone except the administrator.
The only way you can copy everything from one drive including the Operating System and Programs is to use drive cloning/imaging software.
