Key West is a good place to visit if you are into beach activities. You can get around the island easily without a car. Many visitors rent bicycles or scooters to get around. The weather is usually moderate and warm even in the winter. You can go snorkeling there, dolphin watching, or go on a dinner cruise. The waters there are very calm and it's also a great place to go kayaking. There are clear-bottomed kayaks you can rent if you want to get a good view of the sea life too. You won't find any surfing in Key West though as their are no real waves to speak of.

As far as fishing goes, you can go deep sea fishing, or fish around the coral reefs or around some of the ship wrecks there. If you like to catch big fish (and I mean really big) Key West is an excellent vacation spot. Many people catch sailfish and sharks in addition to grouper, cobia, yellowtail snapper.

What I like about Key West the most are the historical tours and landmarks. One of my favorite places there is the historic cemetary. Key West is supposedly the fourth most haunted city in America.

Whatever your interest though, there are a lot of things to do there. If you go, I hope you have a great time!

Honestly, Key West can be a party town, but there are a lot of things to do that do have anything to do with drinking. Key West is a great place for romance for couples, good family fun, or for foodies and history buffs (self proclaimed, haha). I'm not much of a party animal, and have found plenty of other things to do, like kayaking, ghost tours, and fishing. I don't know a single soul that has gone to Key West and had a bad time, to be honest.
