Hahaha - everyone has Collingwood and Geelong out of the top 4. You just have to be kidding - by far the two strongest clubs and the first and second biggest sporting 'brands' in the country. People are being suckered in by the fact that no other club has been able to string together better than three years but both these clubs are beyond that. Geelong sacrificed a lot last year to bring on a bunch of amazing young juniors and were missing two mega-stars in Varcoe and Menzel (yet they still finished three games from top). Maybe they could have challenged for a flag but if they did they'd be screwed this year. Life was a lot the same for the Pies who were settling into a new plan and coach.

    Finishing Ladder

    Hawthorn

    Geelong

    Collingwood

    Sydney

    West Coast

    Essendon

    Adelaide

    North Melbourne

    Richmond

    Carlton

    Brisbane

    Fremantle

.. and the rest with St Kilda a smokey for the spoon

Hawthorn-Geelong Grand Final ... would be an AWESOME grand final wouldn't it?

Coleman - as you say Buddy and Tommy (who has put on more than 5 kg over summer and is 105+kg and nearly 2 metres)

Brownlow - hard to go past Watson or Fyfe

Rising Star - not sure I have Thurlow as a smokey but that's only because I'm familiar with him and impressed by his work at training

Norm Smith - hopeless to predict but for a laugh Dan Menzel

I find the notion of the eagles not being top 4 equally as silly though Q, let's be perfectly clear on this

Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney, West Coast, Adelaide that will be likely the top 6

as to where they actually sit I have no idea, they are that close it's impossible to tell.

    1. Fremantle- Will make it extermely hard for their opponent to score and force their opposition into errors. (18 wins)

    2. Sydney- Will continue to read the ball well and play enduring football (17.5 wins)

    3. West Coast- Will attack their opposition in play on situations (17 wins)

    4. Hawthorn- Will fall slightly, but will continue to be able to rapidly and successfully win stoppages in the midfield. (16 wins)

    5. Richmond- Will be a vastly more cohesive unit playing athletic, quick footy and break their 12 year hoodoo (15 wins)

    6. Collingwood- Will have a quieter season as they adjust to Nathan Buckley's style of play. (14 wins)

    7. Essendon- Will be able to play good football beyond the midseason and play an offensive style of football. (13 wins)

    8. Geelong- Will just make the top 8 on account of their VFL premiership players in their stand-alone team being ready to step up to the elite level. (12 wins)

    9. Adelaide- Will fall due to the loss of Kurt Tippett, aging players and harder fixture that will at times drain their momentum (11.5 wins)

    10. St Kilda- Will continue to convert from being a defensive side under Ross Lyon to an offensive side under Scott Walters (11 wins)

    11. Brisbane Lions- Will continue to develop their exciting midfield with the addition of Stefan Martin in the forward line (11 wins)

    12. Port Adelaide- Will improve a lot under new coach Ken Hickley and regain lost inspiration under Matthew Primus. (9.5 wins)

    13. Carlton- Will initially struggle to adapt to Mick Malthouse's contested and brutal gameplan, but begin to adapt to it towards the end of the year. (9 wins)

    14. Gold Coast- Will begin to see its youngsters develop into better players and play very competitively at home. May struggle interstate though (6 wins)

    15. Western Bulldogs- Will play many more quarters of competitive football for longer despite only winning an extra half game (5.5 wins)

    16. North Melbourne- Will be the team that is overran with injuries and finish surprisingly lower than expected (5 wins)

    17. Melbourne- Will continue to play predictable football in the midfield and pay on the score board due to it (4 wins)

    18. GWS- will continue to develop as a young team and show reasonable improvment towards the end of the year (3 wins)

GF: Fremantle vs Sydney: Syndey will win due to playing in more finals matches than Fremantle and hence be able to handle its pressure more. Will run away with the game in the 3rd quarter after a tight first half.

Norm Smith: Kieren Jack. One of Sydney's best midfielders who I think will play an exceptionally good game on that particular day.

Brownlow Medal: Trent Cotchin. Will really be the key reason to Richmond's improvement

    Coleman Medal: Lance Franklin

Rising Star: Not sure but for the sake of it say Jordan Schroder from Geelong.
