How do I become a comic artist?

Actually there is a comic book school. Its called the Kubert School and its in new jersey. they often take trips to dc or marvel and get to show their work to editors there.

Draw. If possible get an associates in a fine arts degree -- drawing and or painting. Try to get published in anything. If you can get work study graphics work do. If you can get a job at an arts weekly doing production -- gold. Go to conventions. Show your work there. That's where most editors look at portfolios.
