Yes, remove it before installing the new antivirus. Never have two real time antivirus programs at the same time.

Avast is better. I hate McAfee with a burning passion but its the only thing I have. In conjunction with the MyWOT webtool app for Google Chrome I'm doing better I guess when I'm on the internet.
NEVER have more than one antivirus run.
You should also consider downloading Malwarebytes,which removes Malware.

So, your subscription of mcafee is ending, mcafee is a good antivirus,
if u want to use avast then it's good but remmember
mcafee is better............
