Remove door window crank?

I am having a problem with the door window on a friends 1991 Toyota Corolla not rolling all the way up. At the very last bit of movement, about 1/8"-1/4", the window stops and the hand crank starts to slipping. The handle turns and it looks like the part the handle is attached to turns but the window doesn't close all the way. How do I get the handle off and how do I fix so the win dow closes all the way ? Thank you. I am fine working on brakes and engines just I am not used to working on car body parts and such. I don't want to break something caused more to repair.

Update:

Thank you A+ for the information. I was wondering how to get the handle off to check things out.

There is a U shaped spring loaded clip in behind the window crank. You will need a window crank removale tool that simply pushes the spring loaded keeper off of the window crank.(Auto Zone)Sounds like your window crank mechanism inside the door is shot,so get a new one or one that works. The inside door panel will need to be removed carefully so you will able to put it back on later.
