I got a call from College Prowler today for an SAT cd guide. My dad was on the phone with them, and he bought it. I looked on their website for this, but they don't have anything about it. Now I think its a scam, is there anyone else who got this call and made a successful purchase?

your suspicions are proably correct ;(
in general, anyone who seeks out students in 'cold calls' (unsolicited calls) isn't someone you want to buy a book or a course from.
