Favourite Beatles Covers, Rock and Pop?
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Princess Chelsea, but the one song that I keep getting drawn back to is her cover of the Beatles' "And I Love Her", and I realized that there are a number of Beatle covers that I really, really enjoy. I got to wondering just how many great covers are there out there that I've been missing?
My personal favourites:

BQ1: I think that I'd have to go with "Something."
BQ2: Badfinger. I've always liked them more than the Beatles and, unforunatly for them, they have constantly been labeled as a Beatles ripoff thanks mainly to how they were basically forced to release "Come and Get It" (written by McCartney, of course) as their first single under the name Badfinger (for those that don't know, Badfinger was the first artist signed to the Beatles' Apple Records, but under the name the Iveys. After releasing one album called MAYBE TOMORROW, which didn't do too well, they changed their name to Badfinger and eventually went on to become Apple's best-selling artist next only to the Beatles). Anyway, check out the link at the end of this BQ for a live perfomanfe by Badfinger which features some wah-infected slide guitar work by Pete Ham--the guy whose slide work inspired George Harrison to play more slide. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bidVR-eQMzg
BQ3: Overall, I think I'd have to go with Buddy Holly. I love Lennon's songwriting and all, but I've fallen in love with that 50's sound as of recently.
BQ4: ABBEY ROAD. Musicially speaking, I feel that this one beats out all of their other albums.
