what is your opinion of photographers?

Photographers are the friendliest, most artistic, best businesmen/women, fun, handsome, best lovers, most generous people in the world.

People in general do not say bad things about photographers. They may say less than complimentary things about people with a nice camera but no skill who are pretending to be professional photographers and taking money from clients for sub-par beginner level work. There is a big difference.

Unless you are talking about the Yahoos who think that photography is somehow not an "art".

I never heard anything bad; I imagine that would only be if you took candid shots and embarrassed people - One of my extended family members is a photographer and I dont like the granddaughters being portrayed as mini icons but have never disliked the photographer for it - the kids like it - I can see I am probably just out of the way of what is 'fashion' - I think the thing about photography is that it does lie - I take pictures myself in order to photoshop them so i know the lie, - I have photographs of myself that I hate that are the truth so maybe we just have a problem with the medium exposing our own lies- to ourselves.

There are real photographers and then there are kids with fancy cameras. Photographers are skilled at photography, know a lot about how a camera works, the kinds of lenses, etc. Kids with fancy cameras just know how to press a button to take the picture. I think people just hate the kids with fancy cameras.

I heard its hard to get a job, doing that.
