Nice ideas for wedding venues on a budget?

I'm looking into some unique ideas for a wedding venue on a budget. A lot of places are looking for $3000+ a venue and I just won't have that. I don't want a traditional church venue, but I want something very unique and something that would be available in Alabama. There really don't seem to be many places that really stand out. Also, it'd have to be a winter venue. Any ideas?

Update:

Serious ideas please...

Because "my momma's backyard" is not a legitimate option for winter...... lol

Update 2:

The location isn't a big deal. We'd be willing to travel within the state for the right location.

You need to put the closest city or big town in Alabama to you

i would be happy to help you find the best place and can give you links, but you need to tell me where in alabama (what town or city) and how many guests you need to accomodate and exactly how much you want to spend or a ballpark figure.

Some Parks have buildings with kitchens in them so look in your area for nice parks and sometimes public libraries.
