Questions on soulmates?

This would be someone who you can consider your partner and your best friend. If you don't have to hide anything from one another, can tell your deepest secrets to, can be intimate with, want the absolute best for eachother and are constantly working on bettering eachother. You guys dont have to have everything in common, disagreements are what makes it interesting, your differences make it not so routine. You guys will fight, every couple does, but will come to a compromise and talk it out, not break up everytime something goes a little sour. You will know when you find this person. It will be the one who goes the extra mile everyday to make you smile.

Soul mate to me is like your other half, the person who understands everything about you and loves you the way you are.

Honestly, there is no specific time and while I think everyone does HAVE a soul mate you are not 100% guaranteed to find them or even that things will work out between you two, because simple love isn't always enough by itself. But that is not to say you can't love someone else even more than them. :)

I think there can be romantic soul mates yes but also platonic. I haven't found my romantic soul mate but my best friend is DEFINITELY my greatest soul mate. We are literally like one person in two bodies. I do believe fate can lead you to that person at a random moment. My best friend at the time moved and I became friends with my current best friend literally the day after (we had known each other since pre-school but became friends again in 6th grade). We have gone through everything together from then until ow (the start of college) and I have needed her so much and would not have been able to handle all the craziness of being an adolescent alone!

So there are many answers to your question. Some people do not believe in fate at all (like my best friend's bf). Honestly you have to figure out for yourself whether you believe YOU are completely in control or whether fate has some effect. :)

I think the idea of a soulmate is a scheme to sell candy and cards. You have to have believe in souls first, and I find that weird.

But a soul mate is the mate to your soul. Supposedly there is only ONE other soul out there that matches yours. And for some reason people keep finding them in their home town! What a coincidence, right?

If it is a real thing, I woudln't think you'd have everything in common. That would be boring. you are supposed to learn from your partner, and value them as an individual person.
