Does getting your lip pierced hurt?

I'm thinking about getting just one of these regular, thing, ring-like piercings in my lower lip. I don't have any other piercings so far, not even earrings. And I know that everybody has a different pair tolerance, but please don't just say something like "not at all".

Is it comparable to any other kind of pain or sensation?

And does the pain -or feeling of getting it pierced- last for a long time afterwards?

    it feels sort of like biting your lip really hard. the pain only lasts for a few seconds. the swelling is really uncomfortable though.
