Are there any scholarships for white kids?

Why do scholarships even look at race? What is the point of affirmative action? Scholarships/collages should base their choices solely on ability of the applicant. Just because I'm white doesn't mean I have heaps of cash laying around to pay for college.

Update:

I'm just shocked by all the scholarships that exclude white people. I never said that black people are poor... that's just my point. You can't tell someone's financial standing just by their skin color.

Maybe it's just my area, but there's a lot of excitement about all these wonderful scholarships that award lots of money to lots of students... as long as they aren't white. Its insane how many scholarships I CAN'T apply for.

And you can't say colleges don't take race into account. They do it all the time when they choose a less qualified minority over a more qualified non-minority to diversify their school. And I would still be upset about that if I were a white kid trying to get into college in Asia. It's the principle of excluding people based on skin color, no matter which color it is.

I'm just standing up for my ethnicity (without bashing others), and if that's racist, then every ethnic group who's ever stood up for themselves

Are you racist? It have nothing to do with your race.. It some scholarship for minority people (any race), they have all type of scholarships . And just because I am "black" doesn't mean I am poor .. I really think this is a racist question ... look around .. What are you majoring .. If you majoring Education they have a lot of scholarship for future teachers . And if you work , some jobs have scholarship programs
