Help! My girlfriend wants to start boxing.?

Question

So, my girlfriend said she wants to start boxing again.  I told her how uncomfortable about it I am.  I just can't watch her get punched for the fun of it.  I just can't watch see her with bloody noses and bruises.  I am really concerned.  I really don't want her to do it.  She would be boxing other girls, but I still don't like the idea.  I don't want to see her being punched until she passes out.  I already told her that I won't go to any of her matches if she does go through with it because I just can't see it.  I am afraid of what I'd do to the person that she boxes.  I would be full of hate and want to hurt that person.  I know I am protective, but I just can't see her getting hurt and punched.  Any Advice?

In my perspective, don't tell her not to do it, because it may drive her away from you. She needs her freedom and her choice to do what she wants. Instead, I think you should tell her how very uncomfortable it makes you and how concerned you are. She will probably appreciate it, but just remember boxing isnt always getting punched in the face and getting bloody noses, it is a way of self defense and can help her in the future. Let her do it, and see how it goes! You cant control her!

Its fine if you dont want to go to her matches but be supportive of her decisions she did tell you first
