My MacAir doesn't have the memory for a software update?

My mac simply has 2GB of RAM memory, and now when i need a sotware update (latest Snow Leopard), it says I cant 'cause the updates requires 10gb free space..which is simply not possible. Now what? The point behind all of this is updating my iTunes and maybe upgrading to Mountain Lion, which both require the latest snow leopard, so if there's a direct way...

It needs 10G free _disk_ space, not RAM. Try deleting unneeded stuff from your hard disk.

The 10GB free space required is on the hard drive not RAM.

You need to move some of your stuff off the hard drive onto an external disk, or just delete it.

Just empty some space by deleting unnecessary files and maybe move photos to a CD or a usb drive : ) you do not need 10 gb of RAM.

    Turn off your laptop

    Close the top

    Flip it upside down

    Pull down your pants

Sit on the middle of the laptop

    Slowly take a ****

    Then throw away the MacBook

    Go to bestbuy

    Buy a pc
