Where would you go if you were evading capture?

Just interested to see where people would go and what you would bring and how you would try to confuse authorities. Hypothetically...I am not a fugitive...I promise

Assuming that your ability to travel outside the country is affected by your fugitive status ... you ain't leaving the country through known ports of departure or by any means of commercial travel.

Your credit cards and bank accounts would probably be watched, any attempt to use them would leave a trail to you. You have no money, no job, no means of leaving the country.

A couple of things that might work.

Live in the local "hobo jungle". Do day work to eat, live off the grid. No bills, no address, no way to track you down.

Another way to live without leaving a trace ... the same way thousands of undocumented workers manage it. Follow the work, farmers depend on low cost labor to keep their farm in operation. Most won;t bother to check ID or "right to work" status.

Some ideas might look good on paper ... but be unworkable in real life.

Few people could pull off a "Rambo-style" existence completely living off the land without being discovered these days. Plausible for well trained survivalist types in sparsely populated regions of the country. Implausible in areas with higher population per square mile. People would see the fugitive ... and probably report the "suspicious character" to the police.

Panhandling might work, for a while ... the fugitive would quickly wear out their welcome and become an annoyance ... attracting the attention of the police.

It's easier to hide in plane sight than hide in an isolated area. One is more noticed in the latter than the former. But only if one conforms properly.

Any 3rd world country that doesn't send you back. Or Florida swamps, though it get dangerous in both places.
