For everybody who is asking what voice type they are on 'Singing' read this?
If you are going to ask what voice type you have
Please take these points onboard
-Please don't start into a spiel about your range
Its not that important and makes little to no difference in your voice type (Other than passaggio )
-If you can be so kind as to upload a clip of you singing\ that would help everyone so much more than a spiel about how u have a 3 octave range
Through the clip we can assess your timbral feature, ur passaggio and your vocal weight
and make the best informed answer you can get
Thank you
I think you are both completely right
The only thing that I really wanted people to understand from this post
Is basically about uploading the clips of themselves singing
Because if you have the clip
U can make a better jedgemnent

You have posted excellent criteria about how to determine a singer's voice type, however, the timbre, hue or the vocal weight is not necessarily always an indicator of a singer's voice type. There are sopranos who have a dark timbre and hue to their voices, just as there are mezzo-sopranos and basses who have a light timbre in their voices. As such, the passaggio is one criteria to determine a singer's voice type, while a singer's comfortable singing range is an additional criteria.

I agree with Ron, there is so much more to a assessing voice type. Many good singers have a range of types depending on palatal choice and the use of Biphase or Monophase.
And then again, if a youngster is still going through puberty, "type" can change over night after a growth spurt.
I think most of these kids just want assurance of a] they are normal b] they are exceptional or c] boredom
