There are loads of contracts out there and they all differ depending on the handset. I would say the best option would be to buy the handset outright from the carphone warehouse or from phones 4 u as these type of shops normally sell the phones unlocked to any network. This way you can buy a monthly sim only deal which normally work out a lot cheaper than buying the phone and then end up paying £35 a month for 24 months which you can get for £15 a month on a 12 month sim only deal. That's only an option if you have the cash to buy the phone outright, I believe the phone costs in the region £539 to buy as its one of the newest Android handsets on the market.

I was with o2 for about 8 years, but I moved to 3 last October when the iPhone 5 came out and I ordered a nano sim from vodafone but they took 4 weeks to get the sim as all the shops had ran out of stock. I went to Three store and they ordered me one and it came the next day first class delivery so I cancelled vodafone after I found that Three has a great reception. The deal I am on is 600 mins, 5000 texts and All you can eat data (unlimited). Many networks say unlimited, but it is about 5000 texts as if you send more than 5000 your crossing the "fair usage policy", unlimited data on 3 is actually unlimited. I use about 7.5GB per month of data on my iphone with them. I heard a lot of bad things about 3 before I joined them but they turned out to be great. Where I live I get faster speeds on their 3G network than EE do on their 4G network. The download speed I have is 12Mbps on my phone. Lowest speed I have had is 5Mbps with them and it was in a rural area, 5Mbps is still fast. I have never lost my connection with them.

3 also do the Xperia Z but I would still recommend you buy it outright and get a monthly sim only deal if you can.
