What are the most overrated teams in the NHL?

How are teams like San Jose and Vancouver overrated when they are at or near the top of their division? You can't really call a team in the top 16 Overrated considering they're doing their job and getting a playoff spot. You can call teams who had great expectation coming into the season and are performing poorly overrated such as Washington, Philadelphia, Minnesota and LA

You can't really say the Canucks are overrated though, what defines them as overrated? The fact that they haven't won a cup? They've won 2 Presidents trophies in a row and have been consistently at the top of their division. They're a good team they aren't overrated or underrated they're playing to their expectations

I can't believe the number of times Toronto shows up on lists here.

Of all the pundits in the world of hockey absolutely no one predicted Toronto would make the playoffs unless they made a major goalie change. 25% of the way into the season, second in their division, fifth in the east and same rotten roster that got Burke fired. How are they over rated?

and just because they arent making playoffs doesnt mean they arent overrated. for example, Minnesota and New York were predicted to win the stanley cup and they are doing pretty crappy

San Jose gets my vote. An incredibly inconsistent and streaky team. They're talented but don't play well rounded at all, and in my opinion will never win the cup with the lineup they have now.

Note the who said the Sharks are not overrated because they're in playoff contention: that isn't the point. My point is that they always get hyped because they have a talented team, and they never live up to that hype. A lot of people have become skeptical of them like I have, so they are a tad less overrated than they were 2-3 years ago, but I still hear so much gab about how great they are when they achieved literally nothing, and will continue to achieve nothing.

All of the teams on your list except for Washington are in the top 5 standings in there respective conferences. Yes there is something called "OPINIONS", but your opinion is horribly wrong.
