I agree with the other answer. Don't get high heels since you wouldn't really use them everyday, it'll be a waste. If anything get low heels or wedges (more comfortable). And I also did this transition going from a tomboy to a lady in highschool! (I am now a sophomore in university)

What I hoped everyone told me back then is to buy clothes that you can pair up with a lot of things. Don't get extravagant skirts, shirts, etc that's really hard to pair up with anything because in the end you'll only wear it once or something. Get something that is simple but has a good fit on you and has a good style.

A must have is a pair of really good jeans. Search up what type of style will go well with your body type. I recommend looking up celebrities with bodies that are similar to yours and see what looks good on them. Go for very good brands. They may be a little pricey but good jeans will be with you forever. And go to a dressmaker to get them altered and fitted exactly for your body.

Cute dresses are very good if you feel too lazy to plan what you're gonna wear. You can pair them with different jackets/blazers and they go well with most shoes (flats, boots, heels, any!)

Also don't forget to look up hairstyles because most of the time it is what completes the entire look.

But relating to style, I don't really know what you like so I recommend going on http://www.polyvore.com/

I really, really recommend going to stores instead of online shopping so you can try on clothes. Nothing's more frustrating than buying something online and it doesn't fit

This is getting too long haha. Good luck!

I was in your shoes when i started high school. So i went to the mall and bought some skirts, and dresses. I dont wear heels cuz not alot of people wear heels. And that a lil much. Haha, stay true to your style. Have jeans, sweat shirts, boots, vans(if u like) and sandals are good. I like toms cuz some days im to lazy to wear my vans.

Look through Seventeen Magazine to get an idea of what current trends are and try to get and idea as to how to make your outfit of choice work. Target and Khols are nice if you want to stay casual. If you want to look more girly you should try Forever 21 and Windsor.
