What are the responsablities of every basketball position?
From what I know so far. PG=smaller guy/playmaker/can take it in himself when given the opportunity, SG=slighter bigger than PG/good all around shooter, SF=like a big guard/can shoot mid and outside shots, PF=can shoot outside/can post-up, C=mostly stays in the low most for dunks and rebounds. Forgive me if I'm wrong as I'm still trying to understand more about how these positions work.

Point Guard: sometimes called as “1”. Usually the fastest player on the team, organizes the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time by passing the ball.
Shooting Guard: May also be referred as the off guard or “2”. Creates a high volume of shots on offense; guards the opponent's best perimeter player on defensive end.
Small Forward: Sometimes called as shooting forward or “3”. Primarily responsible for scoring points via cuts to the basket and dribble penetration; on defense seeks rebounds and steals, but plays more actively on offense.
Power Forward: The so called “4”. Plays offensively often with their back to the basket; on defense, plays under the basket (in a zone defense) or against the opposing power forward (in man-to-man defense).
Center: dubbed as “5”. Uses height and size to score (on offense), to protect the basket closely (on defense), or to rebound.
The above descriptions are flexible. On some occasions, teams will choose to use a three guard offense, replacing one of the forwards or the center with a third guard. The most commonly interchanged positions are point guard and shooting guard, especially if both players have good leadership and ball handling skills.

PG = Playmaker (General)
SG= Shooter who can also defend well and pass well
SF= Inbounds passer and Sidelines passer, can play tall, can play as a guard, can defend and crashes the boards
PF= Similar to a SF but plays more of a post game
C= Pure post game, posting up, rebounding, blocking shots, screening for guards, dunking etc.

PG- Passer, on court coach and play maker.
SG- Best perimeter shooter, creates his own shots.
SF- Athletic, can draw fouls and main inside driver.
PF- Mid range shots, high post ups, rebounding
C- Defensive anchor, dunks/post moves.

I have pretty much the same thoughts about the positions as you do lol.
but my opinions are :
PG ) facilitator, passer, great shooter, main ball handler, a "coach on the floor", leadership skills, often the shortest player, fastest in speed
SG) great shooter, scorer, secondary ball handler, taller than pg but shorter than sf
SF) main scorer, good shooter, draws and makes foul shots, strong and fast, shorter than pf but taller than sg
PF) scorer, good post moves, secondary rebounder, secondary shot blocker, help defense, taller than sf
C) good post moves, main rebounder, main shot blocker, great help def, good scoring, good hustle, is the tallest
