Shoes wise, I'm debating weather the plain black and white converse would go with it because even though the website says it's cream it looks borderline white and I can't work out if that's be a clash or a compliment to the white laces and white tips on the converse?

i would suggest a ruffled blouse or shirt up with top button. the converse would look nice with it, or maybe a top that looks like a bandeaux but is more filling. It depends on your figure to be honest but i love your skirt! have fun
