What should I do to prepare myself to learn Kung Fu later?
After a few months, once I have a sustainable income and such, I plan on taking classes for Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. I've been deeply interested in learning martial arts since I was very young, and now I think I'd like to pursue teaching it some day. Obviously though, I have to learn it myself before that can happen.
My question is, what should I do in the meantime? Are there any specifics exercises or techniques I should try and learn that will help my performance?
(PS: I meditate once a day for at least 30 minutes, I do at least 20 sit-ups and push-ups, several reps with 2kg dumbells, and I also do at least 20 lateral raises with those same dumbells. I'm open to completely overhauling my routine.)
I forgot to mention, I'm about 5'6" and weigh about 130lbs. I have a slim, slightly athletic build.

Just keep an eye on your diet (plenty of fresh foods and water intake) & do daily stretches before attempting anything too physical. Anything else you need to know will likely be touched upon in your first lesson. Amituofo.
