What do I need to do to become a tutor?
My friend and I both achieved the highest possible band of marks in the H.S.C. for our French (Beginners) course, and as we are both continuing our French studies this year at university, we figured a wise thing to do would be to put our language skills to good use and tutor HSC students.
We want to start an "unofficial" business that we can accredit to the both of us - the logic is that we'd have a central Facebook page to manage it all from as well as our emails and mobiles - and, come graduation, I'll have plenty of experience on top of my pracs with which to begin my teaching career, and Olivia will also have a boost from her primary school teaching degree.
I'm also taking German as my minor, so after a couple of years, we can add that as a service.
We were thinking we'd just charge the median of our ages - $18 an hour - as we're just starting out, but, beyond all that, we don't really know what to do or where to go.
Should we hold group sessions?
Do we go to their houses or do they come to ours?
Any and all help would be appreciated.

NEVER go to their house. Kids will NOT work at their own house - too many disruptions - phone calls, etc.
At YOUR place, this can NOT happen.
