I think any politician that is willing to allow the status quo of 100,000 immigrants in to the US every year ought to be fired immediately. We are already packed to the brim, and the economy isn't exactly in good shape. We need to totally seal our borderS until every able-bodied American is working and the economy is booming. Then and only then can we even think about putting any immigration back on the table.

But the immigration of today is NOT the immigration of yesteryear. The immigrants who came through Ellis Island were ashamed if they didn't know English, and went out of their way to learn; to fit in with OUR culture and way of life. Not today, no, we have to bend over to accommodate the 3rd world immigrants.

We no longer have immigration, we have an invasion! If we keep allowing 3rd world settlers in, the US will shortly resemble the very same country that the immigrants fled from!

I would vote against any bill that allows any immigration, at a time like we have now!

He should have made his agenda known before people voted for him.

Against. because our Congress is supposed to be looking for opportunities to create jobs for USA citizens. Rubio intends to make more visas available so foreigners can come and take engineering and high tech jobs from USA citizens. If he cared about the USA, why wouldn't he want less visas so corporations would be forced to hire, train and provide education for USA citizens to fill these positions?.

As with almost any Republican, we first have to determine which one. The one he advocated during the primaries and the election, or the one he is now touting?
