who would the strongest military country in eastern europe be?

This is not even a contest, since Russia is the strongest by FAR.

They have almost twice the population of any other country in the region, and they have the worlds 10th largest economy and plenty of oil and gas.

They have the worlds largest stockpile of nukes (and probably also chemical and biological weapons). They have the second largest fleet of ballistic missile submarines and it's the only country apart from the U.S. with a modern strategic bomber force.

Russia's tank force is the largest in the world, its surface navy and air force are among the largest ones. They have more than one million active service troops, and a further two million reserves.

Russia. they might still be a wreak but they still got all that crap from the cold war... the largest stockpile of arms in human history! sure in the years following the collapse of the soviet union most of it for "lost" or "misplaced" but there's still plenty to arm every Russian citizen with a rifle, a pistol, 500 rounds of ammunition and ten grenades! they probably still got enough bombs in storage to carpet bomb half of Europe. Moscow underground is still riddled with tunnels and bunkers, packed full of supplies.

believe it or not, here in the USA anyone with a commie gun is still running off of Soviet Union cold war surplus! Law abiding, gun owning Americans buy half a billion rounds of 7.62x54r a year, prices have no inflated even right now, some of the highest demand times. that indicates there's no question to supply, they still got plenty to sell!

hello, I'm Italian, I think the strongest military country in Europe is the germana (I think), but European countries are very close, countries help each other, if a European country is at war all the army of 'europe should be to help that country .( sorry for my english)
