why are marine cheerleaders so thin skinned?
for example crazy horse or routine extract. the second you get into a debate with either one (not that a debate with either of them is hard to end, they like to make things up and it's hard to continue to argue with lies when shown facts... especially from .mil sites) all of your answers dated back several months instantly get 6-8 thumbs down. Aside for being honorless enough to make multiple accounts, and not smart enough to even try to hide it, what's wrong with these cheerleading wimps? Is their time in the marines that worthless that they get instantly furious the second you don't agree with their motardation and bend over for their propaganda?
i actually don't hate marines. I have several friends who are/were. I dislike their retarded cheerleaders.
@routine- how narcissistic do you have to be to believe that anyone who trash talks you, after you trash talk them, is doing so because they were turned down from your branch? You do realize that not everyone wants to join the marines, right? According to your email combat training is formations, assaults, etc. If you really want to talk about acting like your 12, feel free to look over a good portion of your posts. Half of them don't even answer the question being asked, they simply over hype the usmc or talk down about another branch. Have you even served, or do you just carry pom-poms?
casper- the .mil sites I am referring to are the ones citing regs or other factual matter, not recruitment ones.
also, to quote routine "You're just an idiot who hates everyone who is US Army"... what??? You just confused me with you.
"Alexander, yes, one of the basics of combat is formations. There are echelon formations, wedge, skirmish, column, Vee, and some fire teams formations. I'm really surprised the Army doesn't teach combat formations."
What are you talking about? That's one of the things we're taught during basic. You haven't provided a single link, all you've done is repeatedly state that army BCT does not consist of combat training, even when shown evidence to the contrary.

As explained to me once from a buddy of mine who saw combat in Iraq when he was attached to 3rd Recon. Marine pride is a great thing, it keeps people coming into the Marines and it provides something satisfying for those who choose to stay in. But it's like Texas pride, it's nothing too special and can get annoying because you pretty much have to tell everyone in a 35 mile square radius you're a Marine, especially when you're a boot. So for the boots and those who do more than 4 years it's something they will die defending from any slight the Marines may receive. Like the hero Chesty Puller, very few Marines will admit to the fact that when he and his squad was rescued from an attacking Japanese force by a Destroyer he told the sailors, after he came aboard, that he preferred the Marines to the Navy because when you get into the **** you can run, while in the Navy you just sit there and pray for the best.
They want everyone to believe the Marines is filled with demigods that fight lava monsters and run into battle every day. Partly because of their history and partly because they want everyday to exhibit that history. Of course not all Marines are like this, but the ones that, like you said, are kinda like cheerleaders exhibit this the most.

The Marines don't have cheerleaders. What we don't like is people like you telling lies or just being misinformed about the Corps. For instance, you have stated the Marine Corps doesn't do combat training in boot camp. You are partially right, what the Marine Corps calls combat training is done in SOI. Marines do Combat Water Survival Training, Rappelling, chemical warfare, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, martial arts, and other combat related training in boot camp. What they don't do is infantry formations, assault training, etc. This training is done on School of Infantry. Boot Camp training is far more than the drill and classes which you describe Marine Corps recruit training as.
I'm reading the links you gave me for Army training and will reply to your message.
I have seen comments from several people who see your hatred of the Marine Corps. That's fine; you were probably rejected by the Corps or just never had an interest in them. What isn't fine is your constant misinformation about the Marine Corps. I'll give you that you probably just don't know what the Marine Corps is about.
Don't worry, I'm sure Marines dislike your rants against the Marine Corps as much as you dislike the supposed cheerleaders.
You're just an idiot who hates everyone who is US Army. I suspect you are about 12 years old. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjqhX...

@Question, Marines are the first to recognize the importance of the Navy in Marine operations. There is a common bond between Marines and Navy.
Alexander, yes, one of the basics of combat is formations. There are echelon formations, wedge, skirmish, column, Vee, and some fire teams formations. I'm really surprised the Army doesn't teach combat formations.
We have a discussion going offline where you can vent your frustrations. I'm trying to teach you what the Marines are about with links to websites and real information so you don't come on here and embarrass yourself.

There are all types of people on Y!A...both honorable and not so honorable and I have found that to be true from all the branches (real and fakes). If you have proof of multiple accounts, report them and have them removed. If you can't prove it...then it is simply a supposition.
You have the choice of ignoring them or generating questions/statements of this nature. My question is...is it really worth your time?

alexander.. i seriously would NOT overestimate the dotmil sites... they can even promise you a name on an aircraft right underneath the pilot... all that, for an entry level AF technician.
short of that.. i don't like getting into these "whose daddy's got bigger balls" thing and usually try to calm down these SOF CoDkids. but it's like taking away a favourite toy.
Source(s): i guess i need some offline time. would you believe i read "why are marine cheerleaders so skinny?" me, being a honorary "tanker" in the (nonUS)AF, who and whose friends usually care more about where to scoop some booze rather than boast about "look m'a'm me flyboy". we let that to paratroopers and all the SOF highspeed guys. - How do you think about the answers?
