My laptop can't see my wireless network but will find others!!?

Right, as above. I'm currently plugged into my router via ethernet.

My network is fine as my phone is connected and I also have a Sonos system playing as I type. My PS3 will also connect. I can see several other networks just not my own.

I've checked my wireless adaptor and that is apparently fine.

Please help. Thanking you.

Update:

Sophie, I can't see my network when not connected via ethernet.

This problem has only arisen in the last couple of days.

The network has been fine for over 2 years, the laptop is around 4 years old.

is your router set to 802.11n and your laptop older?

set the router to 802.11g or mixed mode and try again

Sometimes your network is hidden for security purposes. Try clicking "Other" when the list of other networks comes up, and type in your SSID (your network name) manually.

It's already connected with ethernet, so you can't see your wifi as you can't connect with wifi if already connect by ethernet. Can't do both =]
