How do I make myself look older?

I'm 16 and kinda short for my age. I've also been told I have a baby face. People always tell me I look 12 or 13... It really sucks!!!! I don't wear much makeup, just a little bit of base, mascara, and a TINY bit of powder. Sometimes I wear blush but that doesn't happen often. My hair is long and blonde, I have blue eyes and I'm kinda pale.

As for the way I dress, I play sports (basketball and track) so most of the time I wear a tshirt and shorts or jeans. If I get dressed up a bit I wear a cute top and jeans. Needless to say, my style is pretty laid back!

How can I change my style and makeup to make me look older?

Update:

I'm not worried about what other people think or about 'fitting in.' I just get it a lot and sometimes people treat me differently because they think I'm younger.

I had this problem too. I am now in my twenties, and I've JUST RECENTLY stopped being offered children's menus. >.<

My best advice is to give it time. By the time I turned 18 I had started to look a little less baby-ish, but it wasn't until I graduated college that I felt like I looked like a young adult (finally!).

As for makeup, be careful-- too much can actually make you look younger and less mature, not older. I wear makeup daily to work, but I always try to be mindful of how much liner or eyeshadow I use, and I never use bright colors on my face as I find they look childish.

You could try contouring your cheeks a bit with bronzer or using a matte light brown shadow above the crease of your eyelids to add some "shadows" to your face. Not too startling, and a mature look for a 16 year old.

Wear heels. They don't have to be too high and you can wear them in the form of boots or sandals so they're casual.

Learn how to contour your face. Apply bronzer directly below your cheekbones to elongate your face and make your bone structure appear more prominent. There are some great tutorials on YouTube to help.

Never apply blush to the apples of your cheeks because this will make your face look wider, rounder, and younger.

Wear a bit more eye makeup. Some black eyeliner on your lash line and water line is a really good way to make your eyes stand out without wearing too much. It also makes your eyes look a bit more "sultry" so you look older. You could also try tightlining (find tutorials on how to do it). You could do cat-eyes if you wanted to - everyday or occasionally.

Blonde hair and blue eyes are more common in children so it's connotated with youthfulness so you look younger. Try dying your hair a darker colour like red or brown. Alternatively, you could get highlights and lowlights. If you don't want to dye it, cut it. Long hair can make you look younger. Get a shoulder-length or even bob with layers.

    Good luck :)

Well I wouldn't suggest wearing tons of make up to make you look a lot older, because then you will look like a "try-hard" and that's not attractive. :/

But you can wear a little! more make-up!

    Try doing this:

~Curl your eyelashes before mascara to make them look longer

~Use eye shadow. Try a mellowed down smokey eye or just some pale pastels

~Do winged eyeliner on the top. It makes you look a lot more mature. Here's a link:

~Wear lipstick. Not like beat red, but pinkish.

Here are some more links for make-up:

    These are all really good!

For Clothing.....Try to wear skinny jeans and scarves more often. And add necklaces, bracelets, rings, dangle earrings to your outfit to make it look more girly.

But don't change yourself just to look like everyone else yourself. Be different! (When your 50, you will still look 30! ;) lol)

    Hope I helped! :D

You shouldn't really care about what others think of you. Ignore the rude comments and everything that everyone's saying because if you like what you wear, then don't change yourself just to "fit in." Stay who you are because changing yourself to fit in isn't worth it.

wear a fake beard or moustache. also some glasses. maybe dye your hair white and get a perm

also use big words such as supercat or rhinocerous

or if you are a girl. stuff your bra.

that should work. if not use a cane/walker
