I'm doing a friend's hair for prom. She wants it half up with the back teased and all her hair curled. It's easy enough to do, but would it be better to style it first and then put in the curls, or curl first and then style it? Thanks for the help!!

Ok, here's the deal. We've been dating for almost a year. He's now living in another part of the state and it's not an option to drive there, so I'll have to ask him over text. I hate that I have to ask him that way, so I wanted to do something cute! We both have snapchat and can get pictures on our phones so I could ask him with that. Wanting to do something other than a "will you go to prom with me?" text. Any ideas?

I'm trying to come up with a topic for a concept paper. My professor seems to have a dark sense of humor so i want to do a topic that will interest him. He gave us some example topics but I don't want to use them, I'd feel like I'm taking the easy way out.

I've always known that what ever job I go into, I want to help people. For a while I thought I wanted to be a marriage and family councilor. I still might want to do that, but I'm not sure. Recently I worked at a camp for special needs children and it made me think that I might want to work with special needs children. I'm going into my junior year in high school, so I do have some time to decide, However, I do need to start thinking about my major. If I were to go into special ED, I'd want to do something like speech pathology or occupational therapy. What college major would help me reach that goal?

We've been best friends for 2 years, and together for 4 months. I'm terrible at getting gifts for anyone, it doesn't matter how long I've known them. I don't have a lot of money so anything expensive is out of the question. He wears snapbacks a lot, so I was thinking I could get one from the college he's going to? I don't know.. lol any ideas?

Since he told me he likes me, we haven't been apart for more than 3 days! But he went on a trip (has been gone since sunday), and he doesn't get back till this sunday.. but we wont get to see each other till thursday.. it feels like part of my heart has been ripped out! there's an empty spot.. like im missing something. We've been texting as much as we can (not very much). I'm feeling a pain like nothing I've ever felt before! How do I stop missing him so much? This flat out sucks...

This guy has been my best friend for 2 years now. I've liked him for almost a year, he's liked me for about the same, but neither of us knew how the other person felt until recently. Now we're kinda together, but not.. kinda complicated.. like just friends but we act like a couple, everyone knows we're a thing, and he said he's gonna talk to my dad about us dating soon. So the thing is, I used to get butterflies when I first started liking him.. like ALL the time! Now it's different! I hardly ever get butterflies anymore. I still get them on occasion just not a lot. And sometimes I think that means I don't like him, but then when I think about it I couldn't imagine being with anyone else! He's my everything!! So is it ok not to have the butterflies anymore?

This girl has been my best friend for 4 years now. We've gone through so much stuff together and I would die without her. But her mom... let's just say she has made my life a living hell (I'll call her mom X and my bff Y). X has cut off Y's friendship with a mutual best friend of ours (I'll call her Z). She said Z is a slut because ONE freaking time Z wore a tshirt with the sleeves cut off and you could see her sports bra. X is SUPER uptight about boys and dating and stuff. You litteraly have to be a perfect angel for her to like you. Well now X is starting to pull me and Y apart because my parents let me do whatever i want (not true), i've had a boyfriend, and i've liked 3 guys in the time me and Y have been friends. The first guy she was talking about was when I was 13!! and i didnt like anyone else for 2 years after that. I had a bf for 3 weeks (the stupidest thing i have ever done), and now i like this incredable guy. He's my best guy friend and has been for about 2 years. We're going to prom together, and X really doesn't like that!! I have no idea what to do!! I'm losing Y over a guy, and yet I know if it wasn't that it'd be something else. Her mom reads all the text messeges between us, deleting them doesn't help because she has this website thing that she can read them off of :\ I'm dying inside right now. How can I keep from losing my best friend????

So here's the thing.. I NEVER wear heels. Ever. The closest I have is a pair of 1/2 inch heels. And I'm pretty sure that doesn't really count. But prom is coming up and my dress wont look right without heels.. so I bought this super cute pair of heels and they're about 3 inches. I've tried walking around in them, and I can walk without much trouble, but they hurt really bad! The most amount of time I can walk in them is 30-45 mins. I'm taking them off when I get to prom (everyone does) but I want them for pictures and when we go out to eat before. How can I keep my feet from hurting so bad?

We aren't dating (yet) but are super close to it. We've been best friends for 2 years and this year he asked me to prom! We both like each other and both know how the other person feels. He calls me his girl, we hold hands, pretty much act like a couple. Today he even left a note on my car that said i love you! :D anyway, he's kissed my forehead several times and i want to know when its ok to kiss him back and where to kiss him. no pervy answers please!!

I'm homeschooled and in 10th grade. I'm not looking at graduating this year, but next year (my junior year). I'm duel enrolling at a community college in the coming school year (jr year). I've checked to see what I have left after this year to graduate and it seems like I could do it! I have 2 English courses (which I will take at the community college), 1 science, geography, 2 math courses (I'm taking geometry this year; next year I'm planning to take algebra 2 and trig), geography, goverment/economics and a computer class. The computer class and the government/economics I'm planning to take this summer.

So the problems I'm having are

1. Can I actually pull this off?

2. Am I going to be ready maturity wise? Emotionally? Academicly?

3. If I graduate early, I'll be 17 going into college. Is this too young?

Contrary to popular belief, homeschoolers are socialized, so I'm not awkward like people think homeschoolers are. I'm pretty mature for my age, but I don't know if I'm going to be ready for college at the end of next school year.

I know where I want to go to school, I have all the requirements printed out, and I'm working on the scholarship stuff. I don't think money is going to be a problem.

So far I have a 4.0 GPA or maybe a 10th of a point lower. My grades are really good so far.

Before me and my bf got together, we were best friends for about a year. I never really met his parents because for as long as I've known him, he's been able to drive, so his parents never were at the stuff he came to. Now that we're together, I've met his parents and I LOVE his dad, but his mom is harder to get to know. She has some disease that keeps her from going a lot of places because she feels bad. Anyway, my bf told me that she doesn't know if she likes me because I don't talk to her. I don't do it on purpose, but I don't actively seek her out to talk. I'm the kind of person who takes a little bit to open up so I'm pretty quiet when I first meet someone. Plus I get kinda nervous around his parents because I want to make a good impression. I know it probably makes me come off as snooty though. What can I talk to his mom about? And how do I be myself around them without worrying about what they think?

I'm 16 and kinda short for my age. I've also been told I have a baby face. People always tell me I look 12 or 13... It really sucks!!!! I don't wear much makeup, just a little bit of base, mascara, and a TINY bit of powder. Sometimes I wear blush but that doesn't happen often. My hair is long and blonde, I have blue eyes and I'm kinda pale.

As for the way I dress, I play sports (basketball and track) so most of the time I wear a tshirt and shorts or jeans. If I get dressed up a bit I wear a cute top and jeans. Needless to say, my style is pretty laid back!

How can I change my style and makeup to make me look older?

The guy I like asked me to prom!!! We were texting the other day and he said he wants to match me and stuff but asked if he could wear a white tux. I told him to go for it haha :D But I got to thinking, what colors would look good with a white tux? I know for sure I'm not wearing pink because he doesn't want to wear pink with a white tux. I'm dark honey blonde, blue eyed and I'm pretty pale. What colors would go good with his tux, but also be a good color for me?

I can't just tell him because of the cultural standards of where I live (the guy is always suppose to make the first move, etc). So my only option is to give him hints that I like him back. How can I show him how I feel, without coming on too strong or him just letting it slide as a best friend thing?

I'm helping a girl in my class who got sick and fell behind catch back up, and my teacher told me to go back over the review sheet so I make sure I remember everything from the last lesson. I'm having a little trouble with a few problems.. I have the answers so that's not what I need. What I need is an explanation of how to get that answer. So here it goes..

Evaluate f(x)= -x^2 + 1 for x= -3. The answer is -8. I got 10. I understand what I did wrong, but can you explain why I shouldn't drop the negative sign when I plug in -3 for -x?

Graph the function. Use x = -2, -1, 0, 1, and 2 for the domain

y= |x| - 1. I just flat out don't understand absolute values. Please explain how to work problems like this. I get the graphing part so no need to explain that.

y = |x| + 3. Same instructions as the last problem. Again, I suck at absolute value problems..

Finally made it to level 3!!! figured id ask a silly question and get a silly answer! :D

I have this dress that i really like and it fits me perfectly... except for the length. I've grown since I bought it so now it's too short for dancing. If I'm standing it's a little longer than mid thigh but if I bend over it shows my butt.

Now the hem of the outer layer is long and should be easy to let out. However there are 4 layers on the dress.

How can I get the layers underneath long enough? The top layer is see through so just lowering that hem wont help. Can I add extra fabric to the other layers to make them longer? Or would that end up looking odd? I appreciate any help I can get!!

We're just friends so nothing that would sound like its for a boyfriend. He came up with one for me and I'm trying to think of one for him.

There's this guy that likes me. We were talking the other day and he told me. I said I didn't like him like that, not right now. Ive been thinking about it a lot and I think I like him back. I want to tell him, but Im scared that maybe I don't really like him and I'd end up hurting him in the end. I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I think about him! I love being around him. But i dont know if thats just my sleepyness talking. The thing is, if I leave everything like it is, I know things will be fine. We're good, and we can stay friends. So my questions are - how can I know for sure if I like him? And is it worth the risk to tell him?
