what to do with a used up compact?

I have a compact makeup container that's all used up. I'm looking for ways to reuse it since recycling isn't readily available to me. How do you reuse one of these? It's hard plastic and has a mirror. There's got to be something inventive or useful I can do with it.

    Stick the mirror to something

    My mom used to pop the mirrors out of them and we'd use them as coasters for drinks.

    You can put keys, medicine, one time directions you don't want to loose, coins. Hope this helps .......
