I was involved in an accident a month ago. And my insurance company said that the other insurance company?
wants me to contact them. Should I do this or let my insurance company handle it?

If your insurance company is handling it, let them. This is what you pay them for. You are under NO obligation to work with the other company since yours is taking care of the claim.
