why dont people in the industry call BS!?
i was at an art museam recently and it was all modern art, terrible paint splatters deformed hunks of plaster all passed as art. one piece was just crap, thats the only way i can describe how bad of a painting it was. on the description it listed an auction price at $450,000. then i read about a fashion show where the average cost per outfit was like $50,000 and the outfits looked retarded.
my question is why do people of authority in the art and fashion industry ever call these people out for being bad artists and bad designers?

No idea love. I'm not a fan of modern art. I sometimes look at pieces and think to myself "My goldfish could paint that. While he was sleeping." But I suppose that somebody must really like it and be inspired by it. That's why it sells right? :)
