PetCare-Will my dog be okay?

My dog is about 7 years old, is usually really active (runs non-stop for 20-30 minutes at a time) but then he started having trouble with one eye, usually having it only half way open or completely closed so my family took him to the vet. The vet didn't really do much, just said his eye was dry and gave me some medicine. I gave my dog the medicine for 2 days but now his eyes are really bad, he barely opens either of them and today, about 3 times, he started whelping really bad, rubbing his eyes.

I think both his eyes are really dry, so i tried to carefully clean them with water, but he still got worse throughout the day.

What should I do? I don't think I can take him to the vet again because my parents make a point not to "fuss" over him so I am the only one that is really worrying about him.

What medication were you given by the vet?

Call the vet you took it to and explain the situation and ask what needs to be done. If they ask you to come in, let them know you may not be able to immediately and ask what to do in the meantime. It could be your dog has managed to scratch both of his eyes, there could be something in his eye, it could be an eyelash disorder.

Don't give up . They cannot say how much it hurts them. so try to take him to better vet . also you can ask pet care takers who is near by . cause more than medicines there will be so other natural remedy given by them. Don let it alone . Cause they would have handled many dogs with such deficiency. Try and fix it as soon as possible. also kindly let me know how it is feeling and after getting well. I wish he gets well soon.Don't worry

Obviously something is very wrong with his eyes and he needs an other trip to a vet, although not necessarily the one you've already seen!! Eyes are so precious and once lost, that's it - blindness. Also any eye condition is bound to be painful so please get your parents to face up to their responsibilities and give your dog the veterinary treatment he needs, if you can.

call the vet and ask him what to do. if he still dosent help, find another vet and force your parents to take you.
