If 0webamacare is so great, why are owebama and all congress members exempted?

If they forced us to have it because it is such a good plan, why wasn't it good enough for them?

I am going to assume that you are referring to President Obama.

The Affordable Healthcare Act, in a nutshell, states that every individual in the United States is required to have some sort of Health Insurance. It doesn't matter where you get it, through your employer or you just purchasing on your own, you just need to have it.

To answer your question, I for example would be "exempt" because I do have Health Insurance, so I don't need to change a thing. I am assuming that members of Congress also have insurance, so they would in turn be "exempt".

The law was developed in response to multiple complaints coming from Healthcare providers that say they are tired of not getting paid for their service, same reason Mitt Romney did it in Massachusetts, uncompensated healthcare service was/is costing the State Millions per year.

No citizen or legal resident is exempt from being insured. Federal employees already have health plans and dont have to buy any insurance. Most employees have insurance already.

Obamacare is not a health program. It is legislation with a provision in 2014 that requires everyone to have coverage of some kind unless exempt for hardshp or religious reasons (and that must be proven)

Obamacare isn't an insurance policy. No one is exempt from having health care coverage. I think it's pretty safe to say that Obama and all members of Congress already have health insurance. As do 270 million Americans. Nothing changes for them. Obamacare is about making health care coverage affordable for the 40 million Americans who don't currently have health care coverage.

Obamacare is not a health plan.

    And they are NOT exempt.

They have exactly the same health insurance as all other federal employees.

    Yep.

Your mail carrier, nurses at VA hospitals, national park rangers, and the janitors at your local federal building all have the same health care - AND PENSIONS - as the president and members of Congress.

They are hypocrites. Remember Pelosi claiming we have to pass it to find out whats in it but already had her self and her staff written in as being exempted?
