Liberals, are you proud of our public schools?

The U.S fell from top ten in education decades ago which is pathetic considering the resources available. We have some of the worst standardized test scores in the Western World. I remember my experience it was pure hell. My teachers would always scold me for daydreaming, doodling, or staring out the window in elementary school, I had Aspergers yet I was still placed in normal classes I suspect other students had ADHD and dyslexia but we were held to the same standard. The school lunches gave me stomach ulcers its just like prison food filled with GMO corn syrup and preservatives. Kids would fight every single day some got ko'd theres videos on worldstar of my high school. We had three shootings and several cases of statutory rape one with a gym coach another was the ROTC guy. In hs some kids had 5th grade reading levels.

The teachers were ghetto and cold, I remember one time in biology she said only sub species could mix and I brought up the Liger, first she said I was a liar then she said the lion was a sub species of tiger. Another time in physics the teacher asked what was bigger the moon or sun, 80% of the class said the moon "cuz its bigger at night". The kids who memorized everything were "smart" while the creative and unique kids like me were considered "stupid", why do liberals think our public schools are on the right track?

Update:

I know some of you are going to say they need more money but thats not the case, we need better principles,teachers, un biased text books, bettet grading systems, more hands on activities, etc.

Update 2:

@meredith waking you apathetic lazy fcks up?! Yes im very pleased and I will continue until the inevitable collapse.

Update 3:

@teri I was home schooled freshman and sophomore year, you want to know what I learned? I learned whatever tf I found interesting from world history to astronomy to quantum physics everything I cant learn in public schools. I visited all the smithsonian museums and NASA Goddard, but then my parents lost theyre jobs and had to work more. Wtf is wrong with you?

Update 4:

@kati more money=everyone gets a bonus.

    Our education system was adopted and imported from the Prussians in the 19th Century. We spend more per student in this country than in any other country in the world. The problem with our educational system is not finances but merely management; we're using a system that only produces obedient workers. It's a inefficient expensive system. But I think there is an upside; we're finally moving toward a uniquely fitted educational system made for the individual and isn't like a one size fits all glove. No help from the Liberals of course who only wish to empower the teachers union and further entrench the national bureaucracy that creates these poor standardized test.

    We spend more money per student than any country on the planet.

    So obviously it's NOT a money problem. Even so, most of the money goes to Teachers Unions.

    Our schools were "dumbed down" decades ago because it was "not fair" that some kids weren't scoring well enough.

    So concern over self-esteem has pretty much trashed our education system

    There is a reason that America is the least educated country of all the civilized nations in the world.

    No, I'm pretty sure that we need more money so that we can have smaller class sizes, more individual attention, and more special education classes-on both ends of the special ed spectrum.

    More money would get better teachers and smaller class sizes, which would lead to more hands on teacher. More money would also provide better school food.
